Boating and Watersports
Isle of Palms is a great launching point for exploring the area's uninhabited barrier islands by sailboat, motorboat, kayak, or canoe. Anglers enjoy inshore and offshore fishing charters in the East Islands, as they promise epic battles with blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, and other giant trophies. The Isle of Palms Marina is located right on the Intracoastal Waterway and provides access to a wide array of fishing charters, customized excursions, and watersports equipment rentals. The marina also offers parasailing adventures courtesy of Tidal Wave Watersports. The marina's Harbor Market sells groceries, beach supplies, t-shirts, bait, fishing tackle, and other necessities for a day on the water. Adventurous types can head inland for crabbing, shrimping, and kayaking on the area's saltwater creeks and backcountry waters.
